This April
holiday, their mentoring and career guidance coordinator, Winnie Muthina, with the help of Hatua Director, Gabrielle Fondiller, identified professionals to talk with students depending on student interest. They identified professionals such as Mr.Benjamin Muli, a surveyor; Mr.Leornard Msalame, an accountant; Mr.Barua Mshenga, a business man and a proposal writer; Mr. Moris Kawinzi, a sociologist; and Madam Dora Denis, a school principal, to mention a few.
The main focus during this holiday is our form two students, three and four. The form two students will be choosing their major subjects during next term. With guidance about the qualifications they need to get to their dream jobs, this has given them more resources to be able to choose wisely.
For form fours, mentors help them to identify what careers they will apply for in colleges/universities come next year. As we know, knowledge is power.
