On 10th September, Moi Forces Academy in Mombasa held a recognition
ceremony for their top students. The event congratulated students who graduated last year with high marks, as well as those currently in school who have performed at the top of their class.
Hatua was proud to see five of our beneficiaries among those recognized: Sheila Kioko, Wyclife Ochieng, Abdul Wakil, Suleiman Musa and Athman Ramadhan.
Athman was honored for earning an A- on his end of secondary exams in 2012 and was presented with a gift of Ksh. 5,000 by the Guest of Honor, the Commander of the Kenyan Navy. Sheila received the honor of being named the smartest female student at the Academy, as well as being one of the top ten students overall. Wyclife, Abdul and Suleiman were awarded for being top ten students in their respective classes.
Overall, the school was honored for being the best Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) day school in Kenya.
