Athman Ramadhan Baya, first year student at Technical University of Mombasa
Studying medical laboratory sciences. (Hatua Student)
I reported at the Technical University of Mombasa on 2nd September. It was one of the most difficult and enjoyable days I have ever experienced. I felt happy because I had pursued my dreams and was successfully admitted to start my higher level of education. However, a few things made the day difficult. Long queues during registration and a lack of beds in the school dorms meant that I had to seek a private room around the campus. Despite that, I am excited to begin!
We gathered for orientation two days after registration. All the students were advised to report to their respective departments. I went to my department of medical sciences. My colleagues soon arrived, and the head of the department welcomed us with warm greetings.
He asked us to introduce ourselves and congratulated us for being able to secure a position in the degree of bachelor of technology in medical laboratory sciences. I am very grateful that I found my career goal and thank Hatua Likoni for giving me a chance to pursue it. Thank you Hatua.
