We are pleased to announce that Hatua student, Seif Reje, was recently hired as an Operations Assistance with SEATRADE Agencies, a company of Seaforth Shipping (K) Ltd.
In 2012, during Seifs’ second year at Moi University, his family endured a major setback after a tragic accident caused his father to lose his job. His family was no longer able to afford his university school fees and Seif feared he would not be able to complete his studies. Through all the hardship Seif and his family faced he remained determined to finish university. That’s when a family friend advised him to apply for Hatua Likoni’s scholarship program. Seif met with director Gabi Fondiller to share his story and inquire about the application process. Soon after, he was accepted into Hatua Likoni’s university scholarship program.
We are thrilled to announce that Seif has finished his studies at Moi University and will receive his Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Business Management this August. Thanks to his qualifications and experience Seif has earned a position with SEATRADE Agencies, where he is able to put his education into practice. We thank Seaforth for giving this great opportunity to one of Likoni’s brightest youth!
